Fiscally Fit

A woman going over her budget.

You’re a Y member, so I bet you are physically fit.  But how fiscally fit are you?

Fiscal fitness is just as important as physical fitness.  The YMCA recognizes this important fact, and so has decided to offer a series of webinars to help educate its membership - and the public - on a variety of financial topics.  Let’s face it, finances are an intimidating subject for many of us, and COVID-19 has affected our ability to personally meet with financial experts and advisors to help us tackle these complicated situations.   Luckily, thanks to some easily accessible offerings that will be taking place throughout 2021, many of us can have our questions answered conveniently online from the comfort of our living rooms.

Every month from now until the end of the year, the YMCA will offer a different webinar concerning a financial matter.  For each topic, there are multiple sessions offered that will hopefully be able to accommodate a variety of schedules. Simply register for the session that fits your schedule and log in prepared to have your questions answered by a local estate planning attorney.

Full details can be found at Here but the highlights include:

  • Social Security and making smart decisions regarding new tax laws
  • Wills and trusts including special needs trusts
  • Estate planning and choosing an appropriate guardian or power of attorney
  • Retirement funds and IRAs
  • Charitable year-end giving and how to ensure your dollars make a difference

The best part of these webinars is that they are free!

All around fitness is more than just physical – it’s mental, spiritual, and also financial.  The YMCA is offering a great chance to spend some time exercising your fiscal muscles and building the strength of your finances.   Make sure you take advantage of this fantastic opportunity!
