YMCA of Greater Dayton Holding Diabetes Screenings for Seniors

Dayton, OH (June 13, 2013) –The YMCA of Greater Dayton is pleased to offer a Diabetes Testing Event at no cost for Medicare Fee-for-Service Recipients in our community on Saturday, June 22, 2013. The event will take place at Town & Country Shopping Center, 300 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH, 45429 from 9am – 1pm.  Walk ups are welcome, appointments can be made by calling 1-855-295-9135 or by visiting www.preventionforseniors.org prior to the event.

Continuing the Tradition of Father’s Day at the Y

Dayton – 06/11/13 – More than a century ago, Sonora Louis Smart Dodd aspired to create a holiday to honor fathers.

Dayton – 06/03/13 – In 2008, in an effort to expand access to health and well-being resources to military families, the Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA) and the Department of Defense teamed up with the nation’s YMCAs to provide eligible military families and active duty personnel with access to youth development, family strengthening, and health and well-being programs through memberships and respite child care services at community YMCAs nationwide.
