YMCA of Greater Dayton Creates Summer Magic with Healthy Kids Day 2024

Miami Valley – 04/15/2024 – The YMCA of Greater Dayton is hosting the Y’s annual Healthy Kids Day® on Saturday, May 11th from 12pm–4pm located at Riverscape MetroPark in Downtown Dayton. This FREE, annual event features a variety of family-friendly activities to encourage healthy kids, healthy families, and a healthy start to the summer season. 

“It is so important for kids to stay active over the summer, both physically and mentally,” said Dale Brunner, President & CEO of the YMCA of Greater Dayton. “At the Y, we believe in providing resources to families to ensure that their children have access to what they need to reach their full potential, no matter the time of year. Healthy Kids Day is a fun, free community-wide event that encourages families to take advantage of all the great summer resources that the Y has to offer.”  

Sponsored by Peanuts and Fiver Rivers MetroParks, Healthy Kids Day’s mission is to turn fun and play into lifelong memories. Some featured activities include sports clinics, YMCA Camp Kern games, a fun run, line dancing, crafts, critters and so much more! Paid concessions will be available from Kona Ice and Creative Control Food Truck. Goodie bags will be given to the first 500 kids at this event, and other giveaways will be raffled off as well.
