Welcome to the YMCA of Greater Dayton, serving Dayton, Ohio and Surrounding Communities

The Y is an inclusive organization of men, women and children joined together by a shared commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility.

For more than 140 years, the YMCA of Greater Dayton has contributed to the lives of hundreds of thousands of people of all ages, races, religions, and economic backgrounds. We are a nonprofit charitable organization like few others in the area.  At the Y, we have the unique opportunity to touch the lives of infants, children, adults and seniors throughout Dayton and the surrounding Greater Miami Valley communities.

The Y nurtures the potential of every person we encounter. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.  Through our local presence and global reach, we mobilize our local communities to effect lasting, meaningful change through community partnerships, our program offerings and the collective strength of our volunteers and staff.

With a mission to put Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all, our impact is felt when an individual makes a healthy choice, when a mentor inspires a child and when a community comes together for the common good.  The Y makes accessible the support and opportunities that empower people and communities to learn, grow and thrive.
