Volunteer of the Year Award Presented To Englewood Supporter
Justin Birchfield received award of appreciation from Kleptz YMCA

Justin Birchfield - kleptz[Englewood, OH 4/01/14] – The YMCA of Greater Dayton is pleased to recognize Justin Birchfield as the Kleptz YMCA volunteer of the year.

Justin Birchfield is a true fixture for our Kleptz YMCA family. Also known as “Bubba”, Justin has the heart, demeanor, and even looks of a teddy bear! He has played a tremendous role with the improvement of our Youth Volleyball league. A large part of the success of the program is due to Bubba’s knowledge of the game which he shares freely with the kids. The kids in the program have learned valuable skills in the two years Bubba has spent volunteering with the program.

During busy times at the Y, he always lends a helping hand with scanning cards, making copies, shoveling snow - even scraping off staff and member vehicles before closing.

Every YMCA needs a ‘Bubba’ and we blessed to have him helping us out.

The award was presented during the YMCA's 143rd Annual Meeting at the David H. Ponitz Center at Sinclair in Dayton on March 13th. The event raised over $22,000 for the YMCA's Annual Campaign and consisted of a silent auction, dinner and a program where volunteers and staff were recognized for their contributions to the success of the YMCA of Greater Dayton.
