Preble County Youth Volunteer of the Year Award Presented To Local Y Supporter

[Eaton, OH 3/29/13] – The YMCA of Greater Dayton is pleased to recognize Katelyn Niehaus as the Preble County YMCA youth volunteer of the year.
Katelyn Niehaus is a 7th grade student at Eaton Middle School. She has been a regular volunteer for the Preble County YMCA every day after school for the last year. What a huge help Katelyn has been to our organization!
We use her in a variety of roles including member service, administrative support, and Child Watch. In addition, Katelyn displays great relationship skills with staff, members, programs participants and parents.
Katelyn is receiving this award for her dedication, hard work and willingness to help wherever she is needed. Her efforts as a volunteer have put her on a path to be a great leader and have made our YMCA better because of her involvement. Congratulations Katelyn!
The award was presented during the YMCA's 142nd Annual Meeting at the David H. Ponitz Center at Sinclair in Dayton on March 14th. The event raised over $17,500 for the YMCA's Annual Strong Kids Campaign and consisted of a silent auction, dinner and a program where volunteers and staff were recognized for their contributions to the success of the YMCA of Greater Dayton.
