[Dayton, OH 3/23/11] – The YMCA of Greater Dayton held its 140th Annual Meeting at the David H. Ponitz Center at Sinclair in Dayton recently. The event raised over $19,000 for the YMCA’s annual Strong Kids Campaign. The event consisted of a silent auction, dinner and a program where volunteers and staff were recognized for their contributions to the success of the YMCA of Greater Dayton.

The YMCA of Greater Dayton is pleased to recognize Bill LeBoeuf as the President’s Award winner this year. We are grateful to his years of service to our organization.

Bill’s passion for the Y began over 16 years ago.  After a period of time on the Downtown YMCA board of directors, which included serving as the Board chair and the Strong Kids campaign chair, he joined the Metro board.

During his time on the metro board, he has chaired the Financial Development Committee and served on the Executive Committee, both of which he continues to do today.

He has also chaired the Strong Kids campaign for the past two years and stepped up to the plate for a third year for our current campaign. He is one of the key drivers behind our Mentor’s Matters program and is an advocate for positive experiences for children and teens. Bill is a wonderful example of what being a YMCA advocate and hero is all about.

We thank Bill for his dedication to the Y and for making our community a better place.
