4th Annual Strong Kids Triathlon on August 7th
Dayton, Ohio July 13, 2010 The 4th Annual Strong Kids Triathlon will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2010, at the United Theological Seminary in Trotwood for children ages 5-12. The race will consist of three events - swimming, biking and running - and will provide hundreds of area children the opportunity to compete and have fun with friends. (Please note that children will be monitored with volunteers in the water during the swimming course.) This event is being organized by the YMCA of Greater Dayton in conjunction with the United Theological Seminary and the City of Trotwood Parks and Recreation Department. All proceeds from the triathlon will benefit the YMCA of Greater Dayton Strong Kids Campaign which ensures that all families can participate in YMCA activities regardless of their ability to pay.
Children ages 5-12 from throughout the Dayton area are encouraged to register and participate. They will compete in one of these categories: 5-6 year olds, 7- 8 year olds, 9-10 year olds and 11-12 year olds. All participants will receive a finishers medal and goodie bag. Additionally, trophies are awarded to the top three finishers in each age group.
