Preble County YMCA Announces 2005 Volunteer of the Year

March 21, 2005- The YMCA of Greater Dayton recently held its 134 th Annual Meeting at the Schuster Center in Dayton. The event raised close to $21,000 for the YMCA’s annual Strong Kids Campaign. The event consisted of a silent auction, dinner and a program where volunteers and staff were both recognized for their contributions to the success of the YMCA of Greater Dayton.

During the program, the Preble County YMCA recognized Kellie Ketron as their 2005 Volunteer of the Year. Kellie is a dedicated volunteer who works with the Preble County YMCA’s Leaders Club. She volunteers her time for regular Leaders Club meetings and helps keep the program organized. Kellie also accompanies the club on overnights and weekend retreats, spending time away from her family but never complaining. Few people have the passion for working with teenagers and the ability to relate to them as well as Kellie does. She embodies the YMCA mission and exemplifies the character values that we try to instill in the kids and teens in our community. Thank you Kellie for everything you do and for being our partner in building strong kids in our community.
