Kleptz YMCA Announces 2005 Volunteer of the Year
March 21, 2005- The YMCA of Greater Dayton recently held its 134 th Annual Meeting at the Schuster Center in Dayton. The event raised close to $21,000 for the YMCAs annual Strong Kids Campaign. The event consisted of a silent auction, dinner and a program where volunteers and staff were both recognized for their contributions to the success of the YMCA of Greater Dayton.
During the program, the Kleptz YMCA recognized Dan Hall as their 2005 Volunteer of the Year. Dan has been a volunteer in a number of different roles for the Kleptz/North YMCA for the better part of 40 years. Dan is currently serving as the Program Committee Chair for the Kleptz YMCA. It is because of Dan's latest contribution that he is being recognized as the Volunteer of the Year. Dan recently led the YMCA production of, "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown," a Kleptz YMCA program for middle school students. And by production, we pretty much mean Dan did nearly everything from arranging facility schedules, auditions, adult supervision, publicity, ticket sales and certainly much more.
