Dan Harkless received award of appreciation from the South YMCA
[Miami Valley, OH 4/20/15] – The YMCA of Greater Dayton is pleased to recognize Dan Harkless as the South YMCA volunteer of the year.
Dan has been a member of the South Y since 2005. He is an active and key member of the South Y Masters Swim group. This group competes in several states each year and won four medals at the Summer Senior Games.
Dan is also a veteran of the United State Navy having proudly served his country from 1968-1972. Thank you Dan for your service to our country!

Egg drop fun for all

Register HeraldApril 8, 2015 - The sounds of spring rang throughout the Word of Faith’s Ultimate Helicopter Egg Drop at the Preble County YMCA on Saturday, April 4.
Children laughing and playing outside are some of the first signs of spring, and spring could be heard all afternoon at the event held during the YMCA’s Healthy Kids/Safe Community Day.

Fairborn Daily HeraldApril 7, 2015 - Local children collected 10,000 candy and prize-filled eggs in one minute and 15 seconds Easter Sunday.
The Fairborn Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Company Grade Officer’s Association and Foy’s Stores, presented the 46th Annual Community Egg Hunt at Central Park.
