by Thomas GnauThe YMCA of Greater Dayton will soon have a new president and chief executive, one who has spent his career with local YMCA branches.
Dale Brunner has accepted the job after a unanimous board of directors vote Sept. 23, the organization said.
He steps into the position that will soon be left by Tim Helm, who has accepted the president/CEO job at the YMCA of Greater St. Louis. Helm has led the Dayton Y since 2002.

[Miami Valley, 09.23.14] – The YMCA of Greater Dayton is very pleased to announce that it is entering the implementation phase of their new Move2Live program. This senior wellness initiative is made possible by grant funding, and will allow senior adults age 55 and above to participate for FREE. The year-long program is designed to improve the overall health of seniors by engaging them in a variety of health based activities.

September 8, 2014EATON, Ohio – The Preble County Medical Center and the Preble County YMCA will have a health fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the YMCA, 450 Washington-Jackson Road in Eaton.
Flu shots will be available for $31.99, and there will be free screenings for diabetes, osteoporosis, heart health and cholesterol.

September 03, 2014EATON — Mason McCargish, 17, and Maddie Baker, 11, have been swimming year-round for the past few years and will continue swimming on the Preble County YMCA Piranhas Swim Team this winter season.
Maddie and Mason also swim for the Preble County Stingrays in the summer.
Last March, McCargish competed at the YMCA National Championship and Baker competed in the AA Championships.
