September 9th -11th, 2011: Fall Retreat
Purpose: To introduce JLD participants to each other, to build skills in team work and to set goals for the year.

September 16th, 2011: Explore Dayton
Purpose: To introduce JLD participants to the City of Dayton and the surrounding region by exploring the major challenges, opportunities and resources of the Miami Valley.

October 21st, 2011: Leadership Skills and Community Service
Purpose: To develop specific leadership skills and an understanding of philanthropy and service. 

November 18th, 2011: Empowering Youth through Finance and Business
Purpose: To provide students with a basic understanding of how to plan and invest for the future. 

January 27th, 2012: Understanding Your Role in Government
Purpose: Learn how to effectively work in teams using negotiation and consensus building.

February 17th, 2012: Community Leadership Day
Purpose: Learn about different organizations throughout Dayton and the people who lead them.

March 16th, 2012: Making a Difference in Your Community
Purpose: To help students understand how individuals and groups can contribute to a positive quality of life in the Miami Valley.

April 20th, 2012: Personal Success
Purpose: To equip students with the necessary skills to succeed in their career and personal path.

May 7th, 2012: Graduation Banquet
Purpose: To celebrate the achievement of the participants.
