The YMCA of Greater Dayton offers preschool gymnastics, school age gymnastics, competitive gymnastic team, tumbling classes and more.
Preschool Gymnastics Ages 3 to Kindergarten. Our most popular preschool gymnastics class offers the opportunity for children to develop and enhance their gross motor skills with fun gymnastics obstacle courses. Basic gymnastics skills are taught on the floor, bars, beam and vault.
Tiny Rollers Gymnastics Ages 5 & Older. This class is designed for girls and boys. We work on terminology, balance, strength and coordination while providing a good background in the sport of gymnastics. Fundamental skills are taught on the floor, bars, beam and vault.
Progressive Gymnastics Ages 6 and Up. This fun-filled instructional program teaches flexibility, strength and coordination. All levels, from beginners to advanced, meet together. Students are grouped by ability and taught gymnastics skills on the floor, uneven bars, balance beam and vault. Once basic skills are learned, progressively increasing skill instruction is provided.
Tumbling Class Ages 10 and Up. This class is specifically designed to teach basic and advanced floor skills necessary for tumbling as a cheerleader, or just for fun! Emphasis is on cartwheels, round offs, backbends and back handsprings before more advanced instruction is provided.
