2017 Annual Campaign to Support Community Needs in the Miami Valley

Miami Valley (02.07.17) – The YMCA of Greater Dayton is launching its annual campaign to ensure that
everyone in the Miami Valley has access to vital community programs and resources that support youth
development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

module 2017 CampaignEvery day, the YMCA works to support the people and neighborhoods that need it most by addressing community issues, such as school readiness, chronic disease prevention, healthy food availability and providing licensed child care for our area residents.

“The Y is so much more than a gym. It’s a cause. As a charity, we’re dedicated to nurturing the potential of every child and teen, improving the nation’s health and well-being, and giving back and providing support to our neighbors,”
said Dale Brunner, President/CEO, YMCA of Greater Dayton. “Last year, the YMCA of Greater Dayton provided over $2.7 million in financial assistance to Miami Valley individuals and families.”

This year, the YMCA of Greater Dayton hopes to raise $1,035,000 locally to offset the scholarship costs.
Funds raised will support programs for children, residents, and families in the area.

Last year, charitable gifts from YMCA donors made it possible for area kids to have a safe place to learn
and build confidence after school; for families to reconnect and grow together; for aquatic safety to reach
all area residents and to teach healthy lifestyles to all walks of life.

To learn more about how you can support the Y’s cause, please contact the YMCA of Greater Dayton at
937.223.5201, or visit www.ymcaonline.org for more information.
