One of the most popular new year’s resolutions is the promise to exercise more and lose weight.

The Xenia YMCA and all Dayton area Ys are doing their part to help keep those vows in tact. Through Jan. 31 new members can join for free. Along with the waived joiner’s fee, members can take advantage of recently reduced membership rates.

“Access to a healthy lifestyle is important to everyone, regardless of economic circumstances,” said Dale Brunner, president/CEO, YMCA of Greater Dayton. “We know that finances can be tight during this time of year. Running this special and lowering membership rates is just our way of helping our neighbors in the Miami Valley community.”

Highlights of membership include: Unlimited access to all 10 YMCA of Greater Dayton locations; free orientation and use of the Wellness Center; free Smart Start Fitness Program powered by ActivTrax; free group exercise classes (land and water, yoga, Zumba, Pilates and more); free child watch while members are in the facility; free family fun nights; free open swim for adults and families; free open gym time; free use of the “Family Gym;” member only classes and reduced rates on programs; priority program registration and the ease of online registration and access to all Ohio YMCAs through a new Ohio reciprocal program

“The YMCA has always provided a wide array of services and programs for people of all ages; it is now more accessible to everyone,” Brunner said. “Stop by today and learn about what the Y has to offer. You get more for less at the YMCA.”
