preble county photo[Miami Valley, OH 4/24/15] – The YMCA of Greater Dayton is pleased to recognize Pastor Gerry Sadai as the Preble County YMCA volunteer of the year.

Pastor Gerry Sadai has been volunteering as a Chaplain at the Preble County Y for the last three years.

Affectionately known around the Y as “Pastor G”, he has a special gift with people and has done an amazing job connecting with members and staff. Whether it’s leading his weekly bible study, calling Bingo at our Senior Socials, providing the invocation for special events, helping check members in at the front desk, or just enjoying a cup of coffee with members in the lobby, Pastor Gerry Sadai brightens the day of those around him.

He makes a special impact at our Y every time he walks through the doors, and his dedication and service do not go unnoticed. We are blessed to have him involved at our YMCA.

The award was presented during the YMCA's 144th Annual Meeting at the David H. Ponitz Center at Sinclair in Dayton on March 12th. The event raised over $20,000 for the YMCA's Annual Campaign and consisted of a silent auction, dinner and a program where volunteers and staff were recognized for their contributions to the success of the YMCA of Greater Dayton.
