YMCA of Greater Dayton expands access to wellness services

2014-06-19 AOF 4630 RGB(Miami Valley - 12/15/14) At the YMCA, we are so much more than a gym. We believe in the power of community. The YMCA of Greater Dayton is lowering membership fees because we believe that access to a healthy lifestyle is important for everyone regardless of economic circumstances.

As one of our areas leading nonprofit organizations, we believe that it is our responsibility to tackle some of our community’s greatest challenges. “By lowering membership rates, we believe the YMCA can provide more opportunities to those looking to improve the health and wellness of their life,” states Dale Brunner, President/CEO, YMCA of Greater Dayton. “Our communities are facing unprecedented health risks such as diabetes, youth obesity, and heart disease; and at the Y we do not want a person’s financial situation to impact their ability to live a healthy life.”

Improving the health and wellness of everyone in the Miami Valley is an important goal. The YMCA of Greater Dayton is taking the lead in combating inactivity and our communities growing health crisis resulting from being overweight by reducing the price of YMCA membership.

“The YMCA has always provided a wide array of services and programs for people of all ages; it is now more accessible to everyone,” Dale continued. “Stop by today and learn more about what the Y has to offer!”
