Volunteer of the Year Award Presented To Huber Heights Supporter
Joe Caplinger received award of appreciation from Y at the Heights

Joe Caplinger - Huber[Huber Heights, OH 4/01/14] – The YMCA of Greater Dayton is pleased to recognize Joe Caplinger as the Y at the Heights volunteer of the year.

Joe has been a volunteer Coach at our YMCA since 2011. He has coached most sports we offer including baseball, basketball, flag football, futsal, and soccer and is the most requested coach every season. Joe does an excellent job developing our youth athletically, emotionally, mentally, and physically. To say Joe is “just a coach” is an understatement. He is a mentor and a hero in the eyes of every youth he’s took under his wings.

Living in Huber with his wife Robyn, and their 6 year old daughter Katie, Joe and his family participate in aquatics, family programming, and youth sports at the Huber YMCA.

Thank you for all you have done, and continue to do for the Y!

The award was presented during the YMCA's 143rd Annual Meeting at the David H. Ponitz Center at Sinclair in Dayton on March 13th. The event raised over $22,000 for the YMCA's Annual Campaign and consisted of a silent auction, dinner and a program where volunteers and staff were recognized for their contributions to the success of the YMCA of Greater Dayton.
