Volunteer of the Year Award Presented To Dayton Y Supporter
James Traylor received award of appreciation from Downtown YMCA

James Traylor - DT[Dayton, OH 4/01/14] – The YMCA of Greater Dayton is pleased to recognize James Traylor as the Downtown YMCA volunteer of the year.

In 2013, James led the Downtown Y’s Strong Kids Campaign to success, reaching their goal by mid-February, and exceeding the goal of 10% member giving. James led a campaign that not only met the goals, but was fun for campaigners as well.

Professionally, James leads a team of Wealth Management Specialists, who help individuals and businesses protect and grow wealth. He earned an MBA in Finance and another MBA in Health Care Management. He has been married for 29 years to his lovely wife and they have three outstanding children.

James has served on the Downtown YMCA Board for more than 15 years.  He enjoys giving back and watching our members grow with the YMCA.

The award was presented during the YMCA's 143rd Annual Meeting at the David H. Ponitz Center at Sinclair in Dayton on March 13th. The event raised over $22,000 for the YMCA's Annual Campaign and consisted of a silent auction, dinner and a program where volunteers and staff were recognized for their contributions to the success of the YMCA of Greater Dayton.
