Preble County Volunteer of the Year Award Presented To Local Supporter

[Eaton, OH 3/29/13] – The YMCA of Greater Dayton is pleased to recognize Janet Crelin as the Preble County YMCA volunteer of the year.

Janet Crelin’s involvement at the Preble County YMCA has been invaluable over the past year. Her participation and advocacy for the activities she partakes in have improved the experiences of everyone involved. Janet not only serves on our Board, but she is also known to jump in as a volunteer Silver Sneakers instructor when needed! She actively fundraises for Strong Kids has even been known to purchase equipment for the Y when she sees a need. Janet is always willing to help people feel encouraged and welcome, often times highlighting their individual stories and accomplishments so people feel more appreciated.

 

Janet Crelin received this award for her dedication, thoughtfulness, enthusiastic personality, and willingness to help out whenever she can.

 

The award was presented during the YMCA's 142nd Annual Meeting at the David H. Ponitz Center at Sinclair in Dayton on March 14th. The event raised over $17,500 for the YMCA's Annual Strong Kids Campaign and consisted of a silent auction, dinner and a program where volunteers and staff were recognized for their contributions to the success of the YMCA of Greater Dayton.
