29 March 2013

For Immediate Release

[Huber Heights, OH 3/29/13] – The YMCA of Greater Dayton is pleased to recognize Angie Shaw as the Huber Heights YMCA volunteer of the year.

Angie has always been willing to step up and serve as a leader on our board. She has been a part of the annual campaign leadership team, the executive committee, and integral part of many other committees during her eight years of service. She has been a champion to the Y cause and continues to inspire other members to contribute and volunteer by setting a great example herself.

Thank you, Angie. We truly appreciate your eight years of commitment to the Huber Heights YMCA!

The award was presented during the YMCA's 142nd Annual Meeting at the David H. Ponitz Center at Sinclair in Dayton on March 14th. The event raised over $17,500 for the YMCA's Annual Strong Kids Campaign and consisted of a silent auction, dinner and a program where volunteers and staff were recognized for their contributions to the success of the YMCA of Greater Dayton.
