We are honoring Dawn for all of the work that she has put into the Miracle League since its formation in 2009. The Miracle League provides opportunities for children and adults with disabilities to play Miracle League baseball, regardless of their abilities. Dawn has put in countless volunteer hours to help grow and build the program and has served on The Miracle League Board since the partnership with the YMCA formed in 2009.

In 2011, Dawn became the Miracle League Board President. She helps coordinate all of the player buddies to make sure every player has the assistance they need to play the game of baseball. You can find her every Saturday in both the spring and fall at the Miracle Field. In addition, Dawn also continues to be active in volunteering for the Strong Kids campaign at the Coffman YMCA. We thank her for her tireless dedication.

The award was presented during the YMCA's 142nd Annual Meeting at the David H. Ponitz Center at Sinclair in Dayton on March 14th. The event raised over $17,500 for the YMCA's Annual Strong Kids Campaign and consisted of a silent auction, dinner and a program where volunteers and staff were recognized for their contributions to the success of the YMCA of Greater Dayton.

Thank you again to Dawn Hoback. Her dedication to the Y makes our community a better place.
