John Isaacs and Jon Morgan received award of appreciation from YMCA of Greater Dayton

[Dayton, OH 3/19/12] – The YMCA of Greater Dayton is pleased to recognize John Isaacs and Jon Morgan as the Huber Heights YMCA volunteers of the year.

John Isaacs has been a member of our board since our inception. Prior to his involvement with our board, John enjoyed a past role as a member of the original Huber Heights Y through swimming and various programs. In his role as board member, John has assisted in chairing past Strong Kids Campaigns, participated in many special events, and provide hundreds of great photos of the happenings at the Y. John brings a wealth of history, and commitment to our Y. Thanks John!

Jon Morgan is the Site Pastor for Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church here at the Huber Y. Even with all huber_-_morgan.jpgof the duties of being a pastor, he always finds time to volunteer his time and talents.

Jon has coached several teams in the various sports throughout 2011. He was always willing to take on a leadership role with multiple teams.  What differentiates Jon from most other coaches is his family values that he uses when he is coaching.  He and his family are grounded in the Christian family values that are integrated within the framework of the YMCA.  Jon's positive ‘can-do’ spirit is picked up by all team members and parents, regardless if the team is winning or losing.

The award was presented during the YMCA's 141st Annual Meeting at the David H. Ponitz Center at Sinclair in Dayton recently. The event raised over $22,000 for the YMCA's annual Strong Kids Campaign and consisted of a silent auction, dinner and a program where volunteers and staff were recognized for their contributions to the success of the YMCA of Greater Dayton.

Thank you again to John Isaacs and Jon Morgan. Their dedication to the Y makes our community a better place.
