Greg Ruppert received award of appreciation from West Carrollton YMCA

wc_-_ruppert.jpg[Dayton, OH 3/19/12] – The YMCA of Greater Dayton is pleased to recognize Greg Ruppert as the West Carrollton YMCA volunteer of the year.

Greg has provided dynamic leadership for years to several aspects of our Y. He currently serves on our Board of Advisors. For three years, he led the Strong Kids Campaign raising money for families in need of assistance. He is also the head soccer coach for the Y Elite Sports program, a pilot select program at the West Carrollton YMCA.  As head coach of this new program, he is teaching and positively motivating children to become a more competitive athlete. In addition to all these important Y roles, he is the father of four and has two grandchildren. Greg’s dedication and hard work influences the lives of so many young people in the West Carrollton community!

The award was presented during the YMCA's 141st Annual Meeting at the David H. Ponitz Center at Sinclair in Dayton recently. The event raised over $22,000 for the YMCA's annual Strong Kids Campaign and consisted of a silent auction, dinner and a program where volunteers and staff were recognized for their contributions to the success of the YMCA of Greater Dayton.

Thank you again to Greg Ruppert. His dedication to the Y makes our community a better place.
