[Dayton, OH 3/23/11] – The YMCA of Greater Dayton held its 140th Annual Meeting at the David H. Ponitz Center at Sinclair in Dayton recently. The event raised over $19,000 for the YMCA’s annual Strong Kids Campaign. The event consisted of a silent auction, dinner and a program where volunteers and staff were recognized for their contributions to the success of the YMCA of Greater Dayton.

Mia Pitsinger was awarded the Volunteer of the Year for the West Carrollton YMCA. Her hard work and dedication to the Y have been unmatched.  She has been there since the beginning, supporting our Y and staff members, regardless of weather or time of year.  In the past year alone, Mia has volunteered over 200 hours.  She diligently keeps the files in working order as well as the staff.  Mia has been a long time volunteer at the YMCA of Greater Dayton and it is our honor to recognize her this year as the West Carrollton YMCA volunteer of the year.

Mia is a hero to the West Carrollton YMCA and we thank her!
