[Dayton, OH 3/23/11] – The YMCA of Greater Dayton held its 140th Annual Meeting at the David H. Ponitz Center at Sinclair in Dayton recently. The event raised over $19,000 for the YMCA’s annual Strong Kids Campaign. The event consisted of a silent auction, dinner and a program where volunteers and staff were recognized for their contributions to the success of the YMCA of Greater Dayton.

David Warner was awarded the Volunteer of the Year for the Coffman YMCA.  He began volunteering with the YMCA when he was a teenager in the YMCA Leaders Club program.  Dave has been a Member of the Coffman YMCA since 2000 and has been serving on the Coffman Y Board since 2001.  In 2009 and 2010, Dave served as the Branch Board Chair and led the Chairman’s Roundtable Division of the 2010 Strong Kids Campaign.  He has given countless volunteer hours to the Coffman YMCA serving the membership of the Coffman Y and many of the participants in the Health and Wellness Department. He is an extremely generous person who derives true joy out of making a difference in the lives of kids and families.

David Warner is a hero to the Coffman YMCA.
