Register now for the YMCA of Greater Dayton's third annual summer basketball camp brought to you by TSS Photography of the Miami Valley. The camp will run from July 12-16 and will be held at a north and south site.
The north site will be at Cloud Park in Huber Heights and the south site will be held at the Coffman YMCA in Springboro.
This camp is for boys and girls ages 7-14. Participants in this premier program will gain a better understanding of the fundamentals of basketball. The camp will be visiting the Indiana Pacers facility (Conseco Fieldhouse) on Friday, July 16. During this visit the kids will tour the facility and play games on the same court the Indiana Pacers play on. The experience will be capped off with the Indiana Fever game later that evening.
The program will be led by Professional Shooting Coach Thom Townsley. Coach Townsley brings 25 years of professional instruction experience, has served over 6,500 clinics worldwide and has worked with players from ages 4 to NBA professionals.
"We want you to have the chance to learn professional skills, at an easy to understand level," said Townsley. "You won't want to miss this opportunity to share in the basketball experience of the Greater Dayton YMCA's Summer Camp. In addition, we look forward to having each participant to join us at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, on the home court of the Indiana Pacers and Fever basketball. Our goal is to not only learn advanced skills, but to give the participants the experience of practicing and playing in a 22,000 seat professional arena.
