Leadership Dayton Announces Class of 2008

September 10 , 2007- Jenny Warner, VP of Association Advancement for the YMCA of Greater Dayton, was recently accepted into the 2008 Leadership Dayton Class. Class members of Leadership Dayton are chosen from a cross-section of the community and represent the region’s mid-to-upper level management. The program focuses on leadership, education, economic development, diversity, justice, the arts, government, health, and human services.

Leadership Dayton is a community leadership program that has existed in the Dayton region since 1976. With over 800 members, the mission of the program is to identify, educate, and motivate a network of community leaders, to increase the individual’s capacity to serve the Dayton region, and to advocate continual engagement in support of the Dayton region.

Jenny has over twenty years of human resource and training experience in a variety of organizations including nonprofit, consumer products, career consulting and outplacement, information technology, business services, retail, mortgage servicing, banking and temporary employment. In her current position with the YMCA of Greater Dayton, she leads the Human Resources, Marketing and Community Development teams.

Originally established in Dayton in 1858, the YMCA now has 10 locations throughout the Miami Valley and services over 70,000 kids and families. Leadership Dayton is a program of the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, established in 1976. The mission of the program is to identify, educate and motivate a network of community leaders, to increase the individual’s capacity to serve the Dayton region, and to advocate continual engagement in support of the Dayton region. The program is being chaired by Susan Hayes, Sr.Vice President, Long Term Services for Community Mercy Health Partners.
