Checkin' out the new Y

 

The new YMCA fitness and community center at 7251 Shull Road in Huber Heights opened this month after about 11 months of construction. The project is a joint effort by the YMCA, Grandview Hospital and the city of Huber Heights. Among the facility's features are a gym with a walking track, a fitness facility, a heated swimming pool, an indoor running track, a wellness center, a teen center, a nursery for children of members and a family gym.

The hours are 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays.

Eventually, soccer and baseball fields will be added.
