YMCA to begin offering charter memberships

The Huber Heights YMCA will begin accepting applications for membership on Monday, Nov. 15.
A Membership Sales Trailer will be set up in front of the Huber Heights YMCA, located at 7251 Shull Road. While the YMCA is not scheduled to open until Feb. 2005, this trailer will provide a temporary membership sales office with the staff, equipment and supplies needed for the community to obtain memberships.
By visiting the Membership Sales Trailer, individuals will also have the opportunity to become a Charter Member. This opportunity is only available until Jan. 16, 2005. Those who become Charter Members will have their name engraved on a plaque inside the YMCA, their membership card will read "Charter Member" and they will also have their joiner's fee waived.
We are excited to set up the Membership Sales Trailer and to start interacting with the community, said Josh Sullenberger, Executive Director of the Huber Heights YMCA. "This will be a great chance for individuals to ask questions and to meet the staff that will be a part of the YMCA."
During the months of November, December and January, the Membership Sales Trailer will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The trailer will be closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
The community is also invited to attend one of the Hard Hat Tours scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and Sunday, Jan. 16, 2005 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Interested in employment? The Huber Heights YMCA will be having job fairs on Nov. 20th and Dec. 4th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Huber Heights City Building. Please plan on attending one of these dates if interested in employment opportunities.
The YMCA of Greater Dayton has collaborated with Grandview Hospital, Sulfer Grove United Methodist Church and the City of Huber Heights to make this 56,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility a reality.
The Huber Heights YMCA will be a full-service facility with an indoor walking/running track, a full-sized gymnasium, a 6-lane 25 yard indoor swimming pool, a fully equipped fitness and wellness center, a teen center and more.
