The Preble County YMCA in Eaton recently took national honors at a Building and Property Conference in Las Vegas.

The Preble County YMCA, a branch of the YMCA of Greater Dayton, was recognized for excellence in facilities resulting in positive membership retention and growth, according to Josh Sullenberger, executive director of the Preble YMCA, which applied for the award late last year and was among 46 other YMCAs that were recognized.

The event was attended by about 600 YMCA staff members from across the country.

"The Preble County YMCA was selected for this award because of our staff, volunteer team, planning, facility design and construction," Sullenberger said.
"Many people have worked hard to create this excellence and we are honored to be recognized for all of these components." Tim Helm, president and CEO of the YMCA of Greater Dayton agreed.

"Our collaborations with the Preble County Youth Foundation and Kettering Medical Center have contributed greatly to our success," Helm said.
