Dayton YMCA opens Trotwood center

TROTWOOD | The YMCA of Greater Dayton opened its second YMCA Neighborhood Development Center in Trotwood on Oct. 2.

The new facility at 506 E. Main St. is a partnership between the YMCA and Cross Point United Methodist Church.

The celebration attracted about 200 Trotwood residents.

Oct. 2 was also the Worldwide Day of Play sponsored by Nickelodeon and the YMCA.

The new YMCA center will increase the number of programs and services available to kids, families and seniors in the Trotwood community.

Programs will include Spirit Quest, nutrition classes, senior exercise, computer lab, music, dance, drama, teen programs, and Bible study.

Financial assistance is available, as in all YMCA programs and services.

Hours will be 10 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday and 3 to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
