Dayton Jewish Community Center

On Wednesday, April 16, 2003 it was announced that the YMCA of Greater Dayton will be managing the Dayton Jewish Community Center outdoor pool. Upon learning that the Dayton Jewish Community Center would not be opening their outdoor pool this summer, the YMCA of Greater Dayton began talks with the DJCC and the City of Trotwood. An agreement was reached between the three parties determining that the YMCA would take over management of the pool and summer pool memberships would be made available to the community. As part of the arrangement the City of Trotwood is closing their outdoor pool and moving all supplies and equipment to the DJCC pool located at 4501 Denlinger Road in Trotwood.

The pool will be open for the summer from Saturday, May 24 and until Monday, September 1. Pool hours will be 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM Monday-Friday, and 11:30 AM - 6:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.

Memberships are currently available at any YMCA of Greater Dayton location. Please contact your local YMCA or visit ymcalonline.org for details. On Friday, May 23 the pool will be open from 4:00-8:00 PM for all YMCA of Greater Dayton members to preview the facility. The evening will include refreshments, family activities and of course…swimming.

Employment opportunities are currently available for lifeguards, cashiers, and swim lesson instructors.
